Call for Participation

The International Conference on Health Information Technology (ICHIT) provides a forum for researchers and practitioners to discuss the challenges, potential solutions and innovations in the field of HIT with special focus on IT infrastructure and their regional establishment, maintenance, and evolution. ICHIT 2007 invites high quality submissions in the form of papers describing original unpublished research results, meaningful experiences, and novel conceptual insights. Submissions for short papers and poster presentations are invited for participation in a Recent Results session. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:

  • Regional and national infrastructures
  • HIT architectures and design
  • HIT testing and integration
  • International standards vs. evolution in practice
  • Health information usability, and acceptance
  • HIT system migration, evolution, and integration
  • Health information security and integrity

  • National plans, experiences, and concepts
  • Integrating current consumer technologies
  • Personal health record infrastructure

  • New applications and organization processes
  • Transparent and mobile medical expertise
  • National infrastructure supported therapy
  • Ubiquitous health professional services
  • Security & privacy vs. information freedom
  • Health ID and national infrastructures
